Chapter 8 Part I Stultification by Disinformation
Stultification by Disinformation
John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
The dissemination of false information into your enemy’s camp is one of the most useful tactics One can use to gain an advantage during warfare. This disinformation may be spread (by the planting of rumor through an agent or medium) for the purpose of obscuring and distorting your opponents view of the reality and situation that is at hand. Depending on the type of reaction One would like to elicit, generally dictates the type of disinformation which is disseminated into an opposing camp. Therefore, if One wants to go right, they will send information to the opposing force that they are going left. Or, if One plans to attack, they will send information which lulls the enemy into the belief that there is no immediate threat of assault. Once the opposing camp’s view has been distorted and their guard has relaxed (due to your disinformation), One can then move in to either capture them, kill them or both. This tactic has been used with great success throughout the history of all types of warfare. So, it should come as no surprise when it is utilized in the arena or spiritual warfare.
When closely examining the doctrine of the rapture, One is immediately reminded about this tactic. During this process of examination, it becomes glaringly obvious that this assumption is a very good attempt at disseminating disinformation into the minds of Believers. If One will recall, in Contamination by Assumptions, we learned that assumptions are very powerful. Through its power, one is able to create powerful illusions which can shape and distort an individual’s view of reality. And once this view is distorted, the individual may then be controlled and manipulated by those who are aware of those assumptions.
By accepting the doctrine of the rapture as truth, One must realise that they have unconsciously lowered their state of awareness to a very dangerous level. And with this relaxation, they have been left unprepared and made ready for the slaughter (Jeremiah 25:34). This is because, if One is taught that they will not be present when great trouble occurs, then why should they pay serious attention to the major events of the world. Why should One prepare for an economic crises if they have been assured that they will not be present when one occurs? So, with this false assurance in hand, each major crises then becomes just another normal occurrence. Each drought just becomes just another drought. Each flood becomes just another flood. And each earthquake becomes just another earthquake.
If they are taught that they will not be present when that Final Great Gentile Leader comes to power, then why should a Believer pay serious attention to the behaviors and actions of their own leaders. Why should they see that certain behaviors are very unusual and unbecoming? Why should they see certain enacted regulations as threats to their lives? Therefore, these behaviors and actions are ignored and not closely scrutinized. This is because, as most have come to believe, if they are still present, then those actions which are committed by their leaders are seen as typical and even beneficial. If they are still present, then that person could not possibly be the Wicked which One has been warned about (2Thess 2:8).
One of the biggest reasons why this tactic has become so effective, is that, many Believers have not yet come to the realisation that spiritual warfare has no specific boundaries. Many believe that they are guaranteed immunity from the attacks of the enemy once they are within a certain area or space. This is not so! You are not exempt from attack because of your location, affiliation, or self-designation. Being at church or in the comforts of your home does not obtain One an exemption. Your affiliation with others who claim to believe, does not gain One an exemption. And your self-designation does not buy you a free pass. The truth of the matter is that these three things will actually increase your vulnerability to attack. Also, these things will increase the chances that these attacks will be successful. And the reason for these increases stems from one very important factor.
When man finds himself in certain environments (ex. home, church, social gathering with affiliates) he has a tendency to relax his guard. Though they may be at ease in these areas, unbeknownst to many, is the fact that they have left themselves open for subtle but extremely effective bombardments of spiritual attacks. This is because, most do not envision that there may be an enemy agent operating in an environment which they have come to know and trust.
Now, these attacks may start as spiritual assaults, but this does not mean that they are limited to that arena. This is because in the enemy’s playbook, the spiritual attacks are only the first phase of a two part plan. And generally, during the initial phase of this plan, the attacks are rarely of the physical nature.
There is a very important reason why these assaults are initially aimed at the Spirit and not at the Body. This reason stems from the fact that the Body follows the Spirit and not vise versa. The Spirit is where resistance to harmful and destructive outside agents begin. If One’s Spirit is weakened, then they cannot begin to resist those threats which are aimed at the subjugation and destruction of the Body. So, if One wants to control and eventually annihilate a Body, he must first capture its Spirit. And by captivating the Spirit, the Body will automatically follow. Therefore, the start of the adversary’s assaults will come in the form of well - coordinated and well- placed spiritual attacks. The aim of these attacks is to capture or captivate the Spirit so that he may easily manipulate or control the Body.
In order to successfully contend with the great cloud of Believers who are scattered all around the world, the adversary must first have an effective and efficient weapon to fight with. And for him to accomplish his initial goal of capturing One‘s Spirit during this ongoing war, the opposition’s arms of choice must have three qualities. First, when equipped with this weapon one must be able to easily apply it towards the four winds of the earth. Because Believers are placed throughout the four corners of the earth, this quality is absolutely necessary. Secondly, to avoid detection and discovery, the weapon must appear light and it must be easily concealed. This means that this instrument must appear innocuous, beneficial and not easily recognized as belonging to One’s opposition. Finally, the weapon must be plastic and easily manufactured. This means that this weapon must be easily produced. And once in the field, it can be easily altered so as to fit the changing conditions.
Since the start of time, false doctrines and assumptions are two known weapons which have been found to fit all of these qualities. Both are plastic, easily manufactured, and can be easily applied throughout the earth. And because of these qualities, once produced, individuals can mold them so that they may appear innocuous and beneficial. And due to this appearance, they are not easily recognized as belonging to One’s opponent. Also, because of man’s emotional makeup, penchant for gossip and rumor, and associations, they can be applied all around the globe without any difficulty.
Finally, One must understand, that because of the Bible’s ambiguous nature, it can be used at will to mass produce false doctrines and assumptions. Throughout history, when combating Believers and non-Believers alike, these two weapons have shown themselves to be extremely effective and efficient. And when extracted from the Bible, these two combinations are an even more lethal force. So, during this present time it is not surprising that the rapture is one of the false doctrines and assumptions that the enemy has used to capture the minds of Believers. It is a false doctrine and an assumption which appears innocuous and beneficial. It tickles the ears and soothes the superficial soul. But if One really examines it, they will see that it is not what it appears to be. Each person must ask him or herself two simple questions: Who stands to benefit the most when this doctrine is revealed to be false? And, who stands to lose the most when this doctrine is revealed to be false?
“Belief is not the foundation of existence, it cannot create and it does not negate”
Deuteronomy 17:12 And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
