Chapter 7 Part X Generations of Noah (Here Comes the Judge)

Generations of Noah (Here Comes the Judge)

From the past to the present, man has been found guilty on countless occasions of all manner of charges. His arrogance, selfishness, greed and lust for power has led him to consistently and flagrantly offend all moral and divine laws. Due to these ongoing and reoccurring violations he has been convicted and classified as a habitual repeat offender. And as a result of this conviction he has placed himself into a state of perpetual probation. Recently in Generations of Noah (Grace and Probation) we learned that this probation comes in the form of God’s Grace. God cannot sit idly by at the expense of his entire creation, while allowing man to increase indefinitely in sin and corruption. So, he has instituted an ongoing system whereby man can choose to repent and rehabilitate. If man chooses not to rehabilitate, then he can face the consequences from his temporarily suspended sentence.

Fortunately, while he is on probation, man is not left to complete his rehabilitation alone. We learned about the first of two characters who have been furnished to assist him in his reformation. First, there is the spirit of the LORD who is assigned as man’s probation officer. And as his probation officer, the spirit of the LORD is here to supervise, investigate, and submit ongoing reports in regards to man’s deeds. Through these supervisions, investigations and reports, One is able to see how man’s rehabilitation is progressing or regressing. Today let us continue our discussion by examining the second character who is involved in man’s probation.

Along with the Probation Officer and the Convicted Offender, every probation must have a DECIDER or JUDGE. And as the JUDGE this individual is authorized to carry out two very important duties. First, according to the rules of law, he must manage, supervise, or administer the execution, use, or conduct of justice. Secondly, he must use this justice to decide or settle all accusations or cases which are leveled against One who has been charged with a fault or offense.

For a Judge to manage, supervise, or administer the execution, use, or conduct of justice correctly and uniformly, he must possess two very important qualities. First, he must be unbiased and impartial. This means that the individual who serves as a JUDGE must not have any favor towards any side in a dispute. Therefore, he cannot enter a case having any favorites, biases or prejudices. Secondly he must be dispassionate and objective. This means that as a JUDGE, an individual must be free from the influence of strong feelings or emotions. In order to be effective, he must not be affected by personal or emotional involvement. All of his judgements must be based on the facts and conditions as they are perceived

In order to settle or decide a case correctly and accurately, a JUDGE must do five things. First, he must know the Law. In other words, he must be familiar or acquainted with the rules of conduct or actions prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority. Secondly, he must go through the process of obtaining all of the applicable evidence which pertains to a particular case. In order to accomplish this, he must equally gather appropriate evidence or data from both the accuser and the accused. Thirdly, in regards to an established Standard or Law, he must go through the process of carefully weighing and comparing all of the collected data . This means that in relation or reference to a formally recognized rule of conduct or action, a JUDGE must take the data and meticulously balance all of its opposing factors or aspects. Fourthly, after carefully balancing all of the opposing factors, he must now come to a final conclusion or determination. In other words, based on the Law, and the evidence, the Judge must now decide on the necessary consequence or result. This consequence may range anywhere from an acquittal to death. Fifthly, he must manage or supervise the execution of that decision. This means that the JUDGE must now see to it that the performance of his decision is fully carried out.

As God’s anointed, the LORD is chosen to fulfill the role of JUDGE in the earth. And according to the Laws of God, he manages, supervises, and executes Justice in all of the earth. Unlike man, he is unbiased and impartial; he plays no favorites. He is free from the personal and emotional constraints which corrupt man‘s judgements. When he arises to execute justice, all in the earth will be judged in accordance with the Law.

With the JUDGE, convicted offender and probation officer, we now have all the three constituent parts which are operating during man’s probationary period. If One will closely examine Noah’s period they will find all three participants in action. In Gen. 6:3 is where One will find the LORD as he concludes a judicial proceeding. And with this conclusion, he gives a calculation of one hundred and twenty years (Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years).

Contrary to what many have come to believe, the number one hundred and twenty does not signal a limit to man’s individual lifespan. This is evidenced by the fact that after the flood Noah lived three hundred and fifty years (Gen. 9:29), Abraham lived one hundred and seventy-five years (Gen.25:7), and Terah lived two hundred and five years (Gen.11:32). Instead, this number is used to represent the approximate time that man is allowed to dominate in the earth. Even though the men in the earth are flesh, God still gives him the opportunity to lead or dominate.

The calculation of man’s time of domination is not arbitrary or without reason. Rather, it is calculated with the assistance of data that is received from the spirit. As we have stated earlier, the spirit of the LORD is man’s probation officer. And as a probation officer, it’s job is to supervise, investigate, and report on man’s conduct. Unbeknownst to man is the fact that, while the spirit is carrying out its probationary functions, it is also amassing a collection of quantitative evidence or data. This data is collected for the express use of determining man’s performance during his period of probation. By inspecting this performance, the LORD will see if he must call for the execution of man’s original sentence of pain, trouble, and death.

Now, after this information is collected, it will be given to the LORD for careful examination and analysis. During this analysis, he will weigh and compare the newly collected data in respects to the Law. He must see if man is fairly applying and following the Law, or is he violating and perverting it. When this procedure is completed, he will weigh and compare the newly collected data in regards to previously gathered information. This is done so that One may see if man is improving in his conduct, or worsening.

Once he has completed weighing and comparing all of the data, the LORD will have to make a decision (Gen. 6:7). He must decide whether it is time for him to execute justice in the earth, or if he must wait until further notice. This decision will be influenced by the amount of sin and corruption in the data in regards to God‘s prescribed limit. If One will recall from TOTL Notice and Notification, we learned that God has set a prescribed limit for man’s violations. Now, if the presence of sin and corruption fills or dominates the data and therefore exceeds God’s prescribed limit, then the Terror of the LORD is sent to warn man that he is violating his probation. And because of these violations, repentance and reformation is required. If this repentance and reformation is not achieved, then the LORD must rise to execute that initial sentence (Jer. 23:5). If the presence of sin and corruption is still below the prescribed limit, the LORD must wait until that appointed time.

Finally, man must begin to understand that his actions control the time of Judgement. As he goes it goes. If he continues to champion sin, corruption and violence, he will continue to bring about the execution of that original sentence of pain, trouble, and death. There is no other way. If he eschews sin, corruption and violence, he will continue to grow spiritually and live in relative peace and prosperity.

When sin is king God cries out, “LOOK OUT LOOK OUT FOR YOUR TIME IS OUT”

Genesis 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

1 Samuel 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

1 Chronicles 16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.
